I would really like to see a physical therapist in my area but I don't have a doctor's prescription.

Ask the PT you are interested in. _________________ PNE from childbirth, 5/2002. Left side PNLMT 5.2, left side TG surgery 6/30/04, Houston.

I'm cured. I hope you will be, too. |

It depends on the insurance provider and the state.
Here in MA I take cash only and can see patients without a doctor's order. This was not the case in years prior.
Celeste's idea of calling the PT Clinic you would like to go to is a great idea. _________________ Cathy

Kate,
You obviously want your insurance to pay for your treatments, so call them up and see what is required for you to be able to have PT. Or, if you still have your insurance company's (I'm just making the assumption that you have insurance) 2010 pamphlet then just look up the requirements for having PT. Then, if you need a referral, it shouldn't be hard at all to get one from pretty much any doctor who you've been to before.
Good luck and please let us know how PT goes.
